Minister of Music
Mark Warren
Mark has served as Trinity’s Minister of Music since January 1993. “My mission is to lead the believers of the Lord Jesus Christ to worship Him in spirit and in truth and to bring the unbeliever into His presence by the worship of Him through the saints and to glorify the Father which is in heaven,” says Mark.
Mark was raised in a Christian home as the son of Carl & Sara Warren. His father Carl was also a music minister. Bro. Mark walked the aisle of First Baptist Church, New Hope, Alabama, at age eight, but was 27 years old before truly accepting Christ as his Savior. He found that “old things pass away and all things become new.” The Lord then called him into the ministry, allowing him to lead in worship through song.
Mark graduated from New Hope High School in 1980, then attended Northeast Alabama Community College and the University of North Alabama. He is currently working with Harbin Ford.

Youth Minister
Jeff Tubbs
Being born and raised is Scottsboro, Alabama has been such a blessing. Scottsboro is a unique place with challenges and opportunities. As a 1994 graduate of Scottsboro High School, I can identify with students as they navigate their educational experience here.
I remained close to home after graduation to attend Northeast Alabama Community College and Athens State University where I acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. Working with students and doing math has been my goal since my senior year in high school. After 5 years of teaching math and coaching basketball and softball in Jackson County, I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. In 2006, God provided me the opportunity to return home to Scottsboro Junior High School (SJHS) to teach math and coach basketball. Once I returned home to Scottsboro, God began to do a work in my life that can only be explained as divine. I met and married my wife Amanda and we were married in 2008. We have two daughters, Olivia and Lauren. In 2011, I felt a distinct calling to embrace a leadership role by serving as youth director at Trinity Baptist. Students have been such an integral part of my life since I began teaching. God continues to provide opportunities to reach students in school beyond the walls of the church. Building rapport with students continues to be my focus when relating to students. Serving as the youth leader in my home church where I grew up has been such a blessing. I firmly believe students should be exposed to God’s word. We have been marching through the old testament on Sunday mornings. Wednesday evenings are dedicated to discovering the truths in the New Testament. In 2013, I moved into an administrative role as the Assistant Principal (AP) at SJHS. Since that time, I have served as the AP at Scottsboro High School as well. In 2021, I became the Principal at Collins Intermediate School, a 4-6 school in our community. In 2022, I earned my Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of West Alabama. During the summer of 2023, I was named principal of SJHS where I am currently serving.
God is faithful and continues to provide opportunities to impact the lives of students through my chosen career. Watching our students grow in knowledge and understanding of God’s word remains exciting and fresh.
